Community Asset Fund
In our new plan we have allocated some money to the improvement / maintenance of local assets used by the community. For each of the three years in our plan we have a pot of £20,000 that we want to use to support local projects as a series of grants. In order to support as many projects as possible we would like applicants to include an element of match funding, i.e using money from other sources, to be included in their application if possible.
As with our smaller Community Chest grants the aim is to use the funding to build towards the four key outcomes of all Big Local areas.
- Communities will be better able to identify local needs and take action in response to them.
- People will have increased skills and confidence, so that they continue to identify and respond to needs in the future.
- The community will make a difference to the needs it prioritises.
- People will feel that their area is an even better place to live
