Lantern Trail 2018

Lantern Trail 2018 – Ansley Village

Trail re-schedules to Sunday 16th same time and place due to bad weather on Saturday

Thank you to all who came along on Sunday – lets hope for better weather next year.

Please meet outside Ansley Village Hall on Birmingham Road (CV10 9PS) at 4:30pm. We will form into groups and start walking along Birmingham Road towards St Laurence’s church. Please walk along the footpath on the right hand side of the road and be very careful when when crossing the road near the War Memorial.

When you arrive at St. Laurence’s the church have kindly agreed to stay open a little longer for us on to allow anyone on the walk to go and look around the decorated Christmas Tree Festival which is well worth it if you have not been there before. If you are part of our Lantern Trail you can go around the Christmas trees free of charge.

After you have seen the trees or if you have already been to see them make your way to the Annexe (the brick building to the right of the church) and you can have some light refreshments to warm up after the walk. When everyone is ready we will go outside and sing some carols, weather permitting, before we make our way home.

You will not be able to park at the Village Hall at the start of the walk but there is a large car park at St Laurence’s.

If you have a lantern, a torch or a glow stick please bring it along, though do not bring lanterns with naked flames please.

Remember to wrap up warm and wear suitable footwear as the footpaths can be a bit slippery.

We would ask that all children are accompanied and supervised by an adult on the walk

Next year the trail will be in Old Arley so less us know if you have a suggestion for a route.
